After gas prices started a dramatic retreat in the fall of 1984, and word of the cars' flimsy construction and nagging quality problems got around, it was all downhill. Sales sank … I remember on a ski trip it had difficulty in making the grade in mountainous areas with 4 people in the car. I also remember an inordinate amount of black tape on it's innards.
